Since its first edition in 2008, the Arsana International Music Festival, with its tagline World Music Experience, has presented more than 1,000 events, welcomed over 11,000 internationally acclaimed artists, attracted more than half a million visitors from around the globe, and evolved into one of the most renowned and diverse music festivals in Slovenia and the surrounding region of Europe. Each July, Slovenia's oldest city, Ptuj, transforms into a global gathering of local and foreign music artists from around the world, representing classical, jazz, ethno, world, rock and popular music genres through captivating events at splendid locations of this historic city. Additionally, the festival caters to a younger audience, offering children’s activities and a vibrant accompanying programme.

Programme
Festival stories have been co-created by a long roster of renowned artists as diverse as the festival's annual programme. With over 400 events annually, the festival consistently makes strides towards reaching its aims to improve the recognisability of Ptuj as an important cultural centre of Slovenia, develop musical appreciation across generations and cultures and foster collaboration among Slovenian and world musicians and musical artists.
